On Deck: July 15th - Meeting at Hadlock Field
Our July 15th meeting will be at Hadlock Field - early start time 12 Noon!

We're looking to make this a real social opportunity, so please feel free to bring family, bring friends. It's always a great time, behind the scenes and insider info on the game, the team, and the players. We meet at the picnic area that borders right field.

The luncheon and meeting is held under the pavilion down the line bordering right field. It's a perfect opportunity to invite your significant, family of all ages, out of town guests,  co-workers or prospective Portland Rotarians to see the club members enjoying fellowship.

$25 payable at the gate for the meal served by Sea Dog's staff includes a Sea Dog Biscuit delicious Gifford's  ice cream sandwich!

Past President (2007-2008) and Maine Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Ben Lowry will be our Rotary host. Let's make this a great event. We hope to see you there.
Rotary Sunrise Satellite Club Meetings Wednesday, July 20th, 5:30 pm we have a Portland Rotary/Portland Sunrise meet up at Bunker Brewery.  This is a chance for Portland Rotarians to welcome and meet our new Portland Sunrise satellite members.  Additionally, this satellite club will be meeting the first and 4th Wednesday each month at 7:30 am via Zoom.  Bruce and I joined their meeting today.
Flags For Heroes
Do you have a "Life Hero", someone who has made a difference in either your life, or the lives of others? Examples might be a parent, teacher, coach, veteran, volunteer, a first responder, spouse, friend or a non-profit organization.

Portland Rotary is giving you the opportunity to publicly honor your hero in a splendid and patriotic manner. From September 9th through September 22nd, Center Court at the Maine Mall will be lined with American flags, each with signage displaying the name of an honored hero.

Sponsoring a hero is easy! You can submit a $100 donation online below, or download a sponsor form and mail it with a check to: Portland Rotary, P.O. Box 1755, Portland, ME 04104-1755. 100% of the proceeds from Flags for Heroes will support crucially important charity work happening in nearby communities in Maine, and as far away as Ukraine. For more information please visit the event page.
