Rotarians at work and play! Thank you to all who came out for Club Service Day at Fort Williams Park last Friday. Our "crew" worked in partnership with other Rotary clubs to help clear brush and invasive plants from areas in the park and to help set up for Saturday's RotaryFest 2019 - District 7780's Conference. Both days cooperated with good weather, especially on Saturday where the perfect weather made the event such a wonderful success, while sharing the magnificent beauty of Fort Williams Park and Portland Headlight. Friday, June 21 - Clean Up....definitely hard-working Rotarians-in-Action: 
President John Curran, PP Dick Hall [aka Tim Allen with a chain saw] and PP Bowen Depke right in the "thicket" of things. 
PP Peter Goffin and Katie Brown hauling away the brush that's been cut. 
President-elect Amy Chipman continuing to haul away more brush..... 
and Megan Peabody hauling away MORE brush. There was a LOT. In another area of the park, we have: 
Jan Chapman and Bruce Moore clearing invasive brush..... 
.....with Justin Lamontagne using a weed wacker to get at those pesky plants. 
We used "teamwork" or was this a "tug 'o war"? - Don Zillman and his new-found Rotarian friend. Everyone was tired when we finally went home, but felt good about the work accomplished.
