Allan Brown has been working directly with Maine companies to help them manage workplace injuries for over 26 years, providing rehabilitation services on site at several of Maine's largest employers. He utilizes traditional clinical tools along with ergonomics to address the causes of injuries and to enhance recovery, a model that has created a paradigm shift in work injury management not only in the State of Maine but also in other parts of the country. The model drastically reduced the severity of injuries and often, with ergonomic interventions, eliminated the causation.Allan has ben published on the model in The Comprehensive Guide to Work Injury Management (1995) by Susan Isernhagen, as well as in a number of other professional publications throughout the country. He has presented nationally on the topics of ergonomics and on-site care. His professional affiliations include having served on the Medical Advisory Board of Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Co. and as Chair of the Board of Examiners for Physical Therapists in the State of Maine.
