Board of Directors Meeting
June 12, 2015
Meeting was called to order at 1:38 p.m.
Present: Kris Rosado, President; Bowen Depke, 1st VP; Laura Young, 2nd VP; Loretta Rowe, Sec.; Scott Blakeslee, Treas.; Steve Stromsky, Dir.; Mac Collins, Dir.; Mike Fortunato, Sgt-at-arms; and Elise Hodgkin, Admin. Coordinator
Absent: Julie L’Heureux, Dir.; Charlie Frair, Dir.; and John Marr, IPP
Guests: Drs. Roger Fagan - International Service Committee
QUORUM was established with 8 board members present and 1 proxy.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the April 17, 2015 Board meeting were approved as submitted.
The cancelation of the May 15th Board of Directors meeting was recorded due to lack of an agenda.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The financial reports were reviewed.
BUSINESS:
• New Membership Applications - Megan Devlin - sponsor Charlie Frair - approved.
• Resignations - Steve Ditmer (moving) - regretfully approved.
Garvey MacLean (health reasons) - regretfully approved.
• Leaves of Absence - Gene Story (health) - June 12 through Sep 11, 2015 - approved.
Becky Wright (health) - June 12 through Dec 11, 2015 - approved.
• Recording approval of board to research/install an online option to accept credit card payments for club events and membership dues.
• Bowen Depke - update on RI Convention in Brazil - will be presented at a future member meeting and/or board meeting.
• P&L report for International Service 3-H Project - discussion was held on how RI has changed its requirements that a separate bank account be set up solely for grant money received and what was paid out of the grant-money account. A 3-H account had been set up, but all funds received/paid out of it were included. Scott Blakeslee, Treasurer and Elise Hodgkin, Admin. Coordinator will need to move some of the transactions/funds out of that specific account - it is a work in progress - reports will be provided at the August board meeting.
ADJOURNMENT AND NEXT BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE
Meeting was adjourned at 2:21 p.m. The next regular Board meeting will be held on July 17, 2015 at 1:35 p.m.
